Bank of Ireland plans to hire 100 new technology employees

Bank of Ireland has announced the creation of 100 new technology jobs with a focus on projects such as cloud, open banking, APIs, AI, and emerging technologies. These roles will contribute to driving the group’s technology projects, including developing new customer features, enhancing data analytics, and improving fraud prevention measures. Professionals in data, delivery management, engineering, resilience, and cybersecurity are needed to support these initiatives.

Last month, Bank of Ireland unveiled an upgrade to its ATMs across Ireland. This project is expected to be completed by 2027 and marks the largest investment in its cash machines in over a decade. Earlier this year, the bank allocated €15m towards enhancing its fraud prevention technology and announced a €34m investment in customer services. This investment includes the development of biometric voice technology and improved self-service capabilities.

Group Chief Operating Officer Ciarán Coyle emphasized the bank’s dedication to investing in talent, technology, and infrastructure. Bank of Ireland is currently working on various digital projects and is seeking skilled specialists to enhance the banking experience for customers. The bank offers a range of inclusive workplace policies, flexible remote work options, and competitive pay and benefits to support career development.
