Cayuga Health has announced the addition of lab services at their Ithaca Mall facility starting July 8. Located at 40 Catherwood Road, this facility is slightly larger than a football field and houses primary care, cardiology, and rheumatology services under one roof for convenience.
According to Cayuga Health, the strategic move to place the laboratory within the Ithaca Mall facility is aimed at enhancing the patient experience. Jeffrey Penoyer, COO of Cayuga Medical Associates, stated that having lab services in the same location streamlines healthcare for patients and improves access to timely medical attention.
The new lab will be operating Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients can still access lab services at other Cayuga Health locations as well.
