Ceyair Wright, USC transfer, commits to Nebraska football

Ceyair Wright, a former USC cornerback, has announced his decision to transfer to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, marking a new chapter in his football career. Although he had three seasons with USC, Wright entered the transfer portal on April 25 and ultimately committed to Nebraska after an official visit to Lincoln earlier in the week. With two seasons of eligibility left, Wright is ready to take on the Big Ten college football program.

In 2021, Wright was ranked as the No. 78 overall prospect in the country and the No. 7 corner by 247 Sports. Nebraska was among his top choices during recruiting, but he ultimately chose USC before visiting Lincoln. Standing at 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds, Wright played in a total of 23 games during his time with the Trojans, with his most productive season being in 2022. During that season, he played in all 14 games, starting in 11 of them, and recorded 28 tackles, one interception, and two pass breakups.

Aside from his football career, Wright has also dabbled in acting. In 2021, he appeared as a fictional son of LeBron James in “Space Jam 2” and also made an appearance on the ABC comedy “Grown-ish.” During his senior year at Loyola High School, Wright was the subject of a documentary called “Dual Threat” produced by Overtime.
