New CEO announced for Cedars-Sinai by Healthcare Dive

Thomas Priselac, who has been with the Cedars-Sinai Health System for 45 years, is retiring. Peter Slavin has been appointed as the new President and CEO of both Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Health System. Slavin will begin his new role on October 1st, as announced in a release dated July 2nd.

Slavin brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the president of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston from 2003 to 2021. During his tenure in Boston, he focused on expanding research funding, workforce development, and fundraising efforts at the hospital. More recently, he has worked as an advisor for various healthcare companies including Perry Health and Tredence, and served on the board of Amwell.

Cedars-Sinai is a nonprofit health system with over 40 locations across Los Angeles and beyond. The health system has received a stable outlook rating from credit rating agency Fitch Ratings, indicating its strong financial standing. With Slavin at the helm, Cedars-Sinai looks set to continue its legacy of providing high-quality healthcare services to its community and beyond.
