Connor Williams has become one of the top centers in the NFL over the past few years. After starting his career as a guard with the Dallas Cowboys, he transitioned to center with the Miami Dolphins and boosted their run game to one of the best in the league in 2023. However, injuries plagued him throughout the season, culminating in a torn ACL in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans.
Despite being a free agent, Williams’ recovery has surpassed expectations and he is expected to be ready for the start of the 2024 season. Although his agent Drew Rosenhaus announced that Williams may not be at full strength, he still has potential to be an average or better starting center with room for improvement. A one-year contract could allow him to showcase his abilities for a larger deal in the following offseason.
