From Warzone to Forever Home: Gunnery Sergeant Wooten’s Heartwarming Reunion with Rescued Dogs Latte and Biscuit

Gunnery Sergeant Craig Wooten, a United States Marine, was recently reunited with two dogs he rescued while deployed in the Eastern European nation of Georgia. Latte and Biscuit, the dogs Wooten took in while they battled canine parvovirus, were nursed back to health by him before being reunited with him at the Los Angeles International Airport.

During his deployment in Georgia, Wooten encountered Latte and Biscuit, who were both suffering from the potentially deadly infection. Despite losing their siblings to the disease, Wooten took it upon himself to care for the sick dogs and nurse them back to health through daily trips to the vet.

The story of Latte and Biscuit’s rescue and reunion with Gunnery Sergeant Craig Wooten serves as a touching example of the bond between humans and animals, and the compassion that exists across international borders. This heartwarming reunion was made possible by the SPCA International’s Patriot Pets Program, which has helped over 1,200 servicemembers reunite with their beloved pets after deployment. After successfully helping Latte and Biscuit recover from parvovirus, Wooten and his wife were able to bring the dogs to their new forever home on June 29th. The dogs, visibly healthy and happy, greeted their new owners joyously at the airport before settling into their new surroundings.
