Jonas Koch and Carolin Schiff triumph in Hegau at UCI Gravel World Series

In the second round of the UCI Gravel World Series, Carolin Schiff of Canyon CLLCTV and Jonas Koch of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe emerged victorious at the Hegau Gravel Race in Germany. Schiff, who had previously won several gravel races, including the Traka 200 and Wish One Millau Grands Causses races, as well as the Unbound Gravel 200 in 2023, claimed the women’s race in a close battle with Janine Schneider of VC Singen, Embrace the World. Maaike Colje of Arkea B&B Hotels finished in third place.

In the men’s race, Koch took the win with a 38-second lead over Daan Soete of Grobbendonk. Petr Vakoc of Canyon Integray L27 finished just two seconds behind Soete. The new gravel race in Singen covered a distance of 136km with a course that consisted of two 52km laps and one 32km lap, including a total of 2,710m of elevation gain.
