Kemba Walker Retires: A Look Back at His Legendary Career and Impact on the Boston Celtics

Kemba Walker, a basketball legend, announced his retirement on Tuesday. During his time at UConn, Walker led the Huskies to several NCAA Tournament appearances, including a championship in 2011. In the 2011 NBA Draft, he was picked as the No. 9 overall and went on to have an illustrious 12-season pro career that included four All-Star appearances.

In his two seasons with the Boston Celtics starting in 2019, Walker not only excelled as a top scorer but also brought leadership and stability to the team following a challenging season in 2018-19. He left an indelible mark on his former teammates like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart.

After hearing about Walker’s retirement, Tatum, Brown and Smart took time to share their heartfelt congratulations with him in a video message. Their admiration for his career and leadership is evident in the video below: [insert video link].
