Lee Health Outshines Hospitals Nationwide with Exceptional Social Responsibility in Healthcare

Lee Health, a leading health system in the United States, has recently been ranked fourth out of 311 health systems for social responsibility by the Lown Institute. This marks the second consecutive year that Lee Health has ranked in the top five nationally for its dedication to social responsibility and health equity.

The Lown Hospitals Index for Social Responsibility is a comprehensive ranking system that evaluates over 2,700 acute care and 800 critical access hospitals in the United States based on measures of health equity, value of care, and patient outcomes. Specifically, Lee Memorial Hospital, which includes HealthPark Medical Center, achieved the top spot in Florida for social responsibility and was among the top five in the state for value of care and avoiding overuse of services.

Lee Health’s exceptional performance in this year’s Lown Index reflects its commitment to providing equitable care, promoting value-based services, and ensuring patient safety.
