The Brooklyn Nets are focusing on building their team for the upcoming season after the conclusion of the 2024 NBA Draft. The team has announced that center David Muoka will be joining their Las Vegas Summer League roster, following the signing of undrafted free-agents KJ Jones II from Emmanuel University and Mark Armstrong from Villanova.
David Muoka, who stands at 6-foot-10 and weighs 235 pounds, has previous experience with the Nets as he played for their G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, during the 2023-24 season. In 33 games (10 starts), he averaged 4.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game, with shooting percentages of 56.9% from the field and 40.0% from the free-throw line.
Muoka entered the NBA in the 2023-24 season after playing two years at Lamar University and two years at UNLV. He was originally selected by the Capital City Go-Go, the Washington Wizards’ G League affiliate, with the third overall pick in the 2023 G League Draft before being claimed off waivers by Long Island. With his addition to their summer league roster, Muoka will provide valuable experience and depth to the Nets’ frontcourt as they continue to build their team for next season.
