This summer, campers at the Edgerton Explorit Center’s Mars Petcare Dog Science Camp had a fantastic time learning all about dogs and spending quality time with their furry friends. The camp, which has been running for 12 years now as part of the center’s summer program offerings for local youth, provides an excellent opportunity for young people to interact with dogs and gain a deeper understanding of them.
During the week-long camp, participants engaged in activities such as jumping through hoops on an obstacle course with their dogs, like eighth grader Justin Brainard and his furry companion, Leo. The closing dog show allowed campers to showcase the skills they had learned with their dogs. These hands-on experiences helped campers deepen their connection with dogs while gaining valuable knowledge about them.
Overall, the Mars Petcare Dog Science Camp was a paws-itive experience for everyone involved. Campers were able to learn, interact and have fun with dogs while gaining valuable knowledge about them. With its popularity among youth in the area who share a love for dogs and a desire to deepen their bond with “man’s best friend,” this camp will continue to be a favorite choice for many years to come.
