According to Phil Brown, sales director at Fortress Technology, the Icon X-Ray brings a higher standard of food safety and traceability that was previously only accessible to top-tier food brands. The system can inspect and reject packaged chilled, baked, and confectionery products at speeds of up to 200ppm, thanks to its IA+ algorithm that allows it to adapt to different product densities and detect a variety of contaminants.

The Icon X-Ray is equipped with internal cameras to monitor product status and address any operational issues. Additionally, it features transparent high-density windows on the sliding access panels to provide operators with a clear view of the inspection process while shielding them from X-rays. Its design prioritizes robust and hygienic performance, with a maintenance-free air-cooled generator that enhances detection sensitivity and extends the life of the X-ray generator.

The system’s ultra-hygienic design supports thorough sanitation procedures, featuring easy-to-clean surfaces and fully contained panels to prevent contamination.
