Sarah Bedsaul Hiza appointed as Vice President of Engineering and Technology at Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems

Sarah Bedsaul Hiza has recently been appointed as the vice president of engineering and technology for Lockheed Martin’s rotary and mission systems business. This move follows her previous role as VP and general manager of strategic and missile defense systems at the company, where she had a long history with Lockheed Martin, having been with the company for over nine years.

Hiza began her career at Lockheed Martin in 2015 as the director of propulsion, structures, ordnance, and controls. Over the years, she held various leadership positions within the company, including deputy general manager of strategic and missile defense systems before assuming her current role in 2021.

In addition to her work at Lockheed Martin, Hiza is also a member of the board of trustees at NOLS, a nonprofit wilderness school. Prior to joining NOLS, she spent 11 years at Orbital ATK, where she started as a research and development scientist and eventually moved into leadership roles in technical operations.

With extensive experience in aerospace and defense industries and leadership roles within Lockheed Martin, Hiza is well-suited for her new position as vice president of engineering and technology.
