Science Olympiad Highlights Team Accomplishments, Ishanvi Kommula Receives $10,000 Scholarship and Access to Standard Digital Access.

The Science Olympiad competition took place in late May at Michigan State University in East Lansing, featuring 120 middle school and high school teams that had advanced from state-level competitions. The event saw students participating in hands-on and lab events covering various topics such as engineering, physics, epidemiology, astronomy, chemistry, robotics, and coding. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience for all participants.

Meanwhile, Monta Vista High School and Kennedy Middle School achieved top honors at the competition. This was the first win for Monta Vista’s team, while Kennedy’s team celebrated a back-to-back victory. Ishanvi Kommula, a student from Monta Vista, was one of five high school seniors to receive a $10,000 Founders’ Scholarship from the Science Olympiad USA Foundation.
